The Old Rectory Hotel Crostwick is near Norwich. The Original Old Rectory building dates back to the mid 18th Century and served nearby Crostwick Church (one of the oldest churches in Norfolk). The Old Rectory Hotel is now privately owned by the Solomon family who have transformed the Rectory into a beautiful Country House Hotel. Our Hotel has 16 comfortable and well equipped rooms in total, many of which offer views of the gardens. All of our rooms offer ensuite facilities with either a walk in shower or shower/bath. (If you have a specific requirement please enquire on booking.) We are entirely ground floor and all rooms are non-smoking. In the main hotel there are 12 spacious and well equipped rooms offering either, double standard or King size beds. Twin rooms and single occupancy also available. We have a further 4 rooms in our cottage building just a short walk across the gardens. Including 3 standard double one four poster bed.
Bedroom Facilities – Ensuite shower or shower/bath with complimentary toiletries and towels provided, flat screen TV with free view, tea coffee making facilities, trouser press and hairdryer. Picturesque Setting – Nestled in the village of Crostwick near Norwich (4 miles north) The Old Rectory is surrounded by common and farm land and is set within 3.5 acres of beautiful gardens. Our setting makes the perfect location for a short break or relaxing holiday. With a direct route to Norwich city centre and the famous Norfolk Broads just 2 miles away, guests are ideally situated to enjoy the best that Norfolk has to offer.
Deluxe Room – We are thrilled to announce our newly refurbished Deluxe Room is now finished and available to book. Formerly the Four Poster this room now features a beautiful white sleigh bed and romantic style white furniture. This is a quiet ground floor room with plenty of space. Ideal for couples looking for a touch of luxury and romance. Family Rooms and Extra Beds – Most hotel rooms are large enough to fit an extra bed for a child (up to 12yrs, max 2 per room). However for larger families we offer Adjoining Family Rooms. These rooms consist of 2 ensuite rooms with an interconnecting door and can sleep up to 4 adults and 4 children. If you would like to enquire about an adjoining room please contact us in person as these cannot be booked online.
Breakfast Included – Included in our bed and breakfast rates we are delighted to offer a Full English or Continental breakfast prepared using some of the best locally sourced produce in North Norfolk.

Open for Christmas Menu throughout December, Lunch and Evening meals. Tables are available to book any day of the week times 12noon – 3:30pm and Evening 6:00pm – 9.00pm. We have an excellent range of dishes offering traditional, home cooked food. Sunday Lunches 12noon – 1.30pm – Our restaurant is open for traditional Sunday lunches. We offer a delicious home cooked 3 course roast with a choice of starters main and dessert and full table service. Held in either our Conservatory restaurant or Victoriana suite. Capacity – Our conservatory restaurant can be used for both civil ceremony and wedding receptions. It can hold up to 110 guests seated and 150 informally. We are also flexible enough to accommodate smaller parties offering our Victoriana suite (60 max) for those who wish for more intimate surroundings.
Civil Ceremonies – Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful civil ceremony venues in Norfolk. We are fully licensed for wedding ceremonies, which can be performed by an appointed registrar on any day of the week. Our beautiful room with high vaulted ceiling and views of the gardens offers an idyllic setting for any size wedding. It has direct access to outdoor patio seating and a light and airy feel all year round. Perfect for weddings of any size, any time of year.
Wedding Receptions – Surrounded by gardens the beautiful conservatory restaurant makes an excellent reception venue. Included as standard for all weddings are; hoops of flowers and pedestals around the room, coloured napkins of your choice, cake stand and knife, white table top skirt to adorn the top table. For your Evening Reception the room benefits from a high acoustic ceiling, disco lighting, built in sound system and central dance floor. It also offers direct access to the gardens/patio and adjoining bar.
Bespoke Menus – We believe that all weddings are individual and offer bespoke menus and drinks to all couples. This means you can not only select your menu to suit your tastes but also your budget. We have 25 years experience in catering for wedding receptions and offer an excellent range of dishes for both wedding breakfast and evening receptions. Professional and Friendly Service – As a family run business we are proud offer a friendly and professional service to all our customers. To ensure your individual requirements are met our experienced wedding co-ordinator will be able to advise you on every aspect of your day from timings, layout, menus, decor and seating. On the day of the wedding our experienced wedding butler wil be on hand to co-ordinate and announce events.
