Spring Farm Campsite is located at Little Hale of Shipdham which is a village and civil parish in the Breckland district, in Norfolk, England, approximately 5 miles south-south-west of Dereham. In the 2001 census the parish had a population of 2,145 in 899 households, falling at the 2011 Census to a population of 2,057 in 891 households. Our Campsite is located just on the outskirts of Shipdham, Little Hale, and not far from the market town of Dereham. Spring Farm is a simple camping, caravanning, motor-home campsite located in the heart of the Norfolk countryside. Tents, trailer-tents, motor-homes and caravans welcome. The Campsite is ideal campsite to stay and is near Swaffham, Watton, Necton, Bradenham, and in Breckland and Norfolk.

New for 2019 at Spring farm Campsite, price includes free use of a fire pit. Bags of fire wood sold on site for £5 (including kindling) or you can bring your own. Our Campsite is a small site in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, perfect for campers wanting a friendly, simple camping experience. Nature lovers will enjoy spotting the local wildlife, falling asleep to the hooting of owls and waking to birdsong. If you enjoy a spot of fishing, bring your rod as we have a small pond freshly stocked with coarse fish. Common sights around the campsite include a moorhen family, Muntjac deer, Barn owls and an array of other bird life. A local pub, convenience store and cafe are all a short walk or drive away in the village of Shipdham.
As our Campsite is located about 5 miles south of Dereham, we are perfectly situated for those wanting to use us as a base for day trips to the North Norfolk coast, Thetford Forest, The Broads, the fine city of Norwich, numerous attractive market towns, National Trust sites, RSPB reserves and other wildlife attractions. Alternatively, walkers and cyclists can explore the beautiful Norfolk countryside using the miles of country lanes and bridleways, which are on the doorstep of Spring Farm Campsite. At our Campsite common sights around the campsite include partridge, pheasants, a moorhen family, Muntjac deer, Barn owls and frogs, toads and dragonflies in the pond. If you take a short wander out of the campsite you may also spot Roe deer and hares. Spring Farm is also a great area to bird watch.
Spring Farm Campsite Fishing – Freshly Stocked Fish Pond
For those who enjoy fishing as part of their camping holiday, our Campsite have a small spring fed fish pond which is freshly stocked with Carp, Tench and Rudd. All those staying at Spring Farm Campsite may fish for free but must use a landing net and barbless hooks and must put return the fish they catch. Keep nets are not permitted. Please ensure you bring your own fishing equipment as Spring Farm do not provide any fishing equipment. The Spring Farm pond is fenced and gated. The middle of the pond is deep (approx. 2-3 meters). A life ring is situated at the edge of the pond.
Our Campsite Facilities include:
Shower: Spring Farm Campsite have a large shower room with a single electric shower and generous changing area.
Washing: A sheltered area houses two hand basins and two washing up sinks (with hot water, lighting and mirrors).
Toilets: Spring farm Campsite currently have two eco-friendly composting toilets (separate men’s and women’s), but will be installing two more over the winter ready for the 2019 season.
USB Charging Points & a plug socket: Free charging for phones, tablets and a socket for hairdryers / air bed pumps etc.
Electrical Hook Up: Spring Farm Campsite have six electrical hook up points. Please request this upon booking if you require electricity.
Chemical Toilet Waste Disposal: chemical toilet waste disposal point is provided.
Hard-Standing Pitches: Spring Farm Campsite have two hard-standing pitches with grass either side for awnings. These are located close to the electric hook up point, however you can book hard-standing without electric if you wish. Please specify upon booking if you require hard-standing.
Recycling Area: We provide bins for recyclable waste and encourage campers to recycle as much of their rubbish as possible.
Drinking Water: The water in the washing area is safe to drink. We also have a dedicated drinking water tap suitable for filling large containers.
Fires: Fires / BBQs are permitted, so long as they are raised off the grass. Bricks are provided for this. Price includes free use of a fire pit if you do not have your own.
