Banham Zoo is based at Banham not far from the market town of Attleborough. Banham Zoo is an award winning family attraction and one of the most exciting wildlife attractions in the country. We have over 2,000 animals from around the world and set in 50 acres of beautiful parkland and gardens. Banham Zoo welcomed its first guests in 1968 and was opened by Martin Goymour who is the third generation of a well-respected Norfolk family. On Valentine’s Day 14th February 2013, Banham Zoo, along with our sister park Africa Alive! near Lowestoft, Suffolk, became part of The Zoological Society of East Anglia Charity ZSEA We by becoming a registered charity has enabled the parks to secure their long term futures, with the primary aims to the advancement of education, zoology, animal welfare, environmental protection and continue with the important work undertaken for wildlife conservation across the world.

Banham Zoo Opening Times and prices
Opening Times and Prices – Everyone needs to book a timed entrance slot (Members and Non Members). Children Under 3 are now required to pay an entrance fee of £1 to ensure the survival of the zoo. The annual pass for Under 3 costs £10 for 1 year, £15 for 2 years. You can just turn up and book your eticket when you arrive at the zoo on the day! This must be done in the safety of your car and we have installed WIFI in our car park to make this easier – but please note, to avoid disappointment, we are limited to 250 slots per hour – once they are gone, you may need to wait!
Opening Times: The zoo is open every day from 9:30am, except for Christmas Day and Boxing Day. 1st October to 31st December Zoo Close: 4pm (Last Admission 3pm). We also have Group Admission and Education Admission Rates available.

Get to know The Animals
Banham Zoo animals are many including birds like penguins, vultures, parrots, eagles and flamingos. Banham Zoo have many reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates including: python boa constrictor snakes, tarantula spiders, iguanas, scorpions and hissing cockriaches to name a few. Banham Zoo mammals include: tigers, sea lions, zebras, monkeys, lemurs, kangaroos, baboons and many more. Banham Zoo domestic livestock is a must see and include: Llamas, pigmy goats, domestic donkeys, cameroon and mongolian sheep and more.
Animal Experiences.
On the day of your visit to Banham Zoo you can: Meet an armadillo – Feed a Gelda Baboon – See Meerkats feeding – see Giraffes feeding – watch sea lions feeding – meet a rhinoceros iguana – see cheetahs feeding – watch owls and hawks flying – see howler monkeys and much more.

Treat your group to a full day full of fun and adventure at Banham Zoo! An award winning attraction with over 2,000 animals from around the world. There is plenty for everyone to see and do, including our seasonal birds of prey displays, live presentations and feeding talks, Adventure Play area, the Farm Barn and the Safari Roadtrain. Come face to face with some amazing creatures and get hand-on in our interactive Discovery Sessions. There are a choice of sessions linked to the National Curriculum which all include animal handling and an education pack.
Sessions can also be tailored for individual needs – so please feel free to contact a member of the education team to discuss your requirements. What Banham Zoo can offer! Birthday parties at Banham Zoo
A birthday at our wonderful site – This is a truly unique way to celebrate a birthday with friends! Special birthday rates only apply to groups of six children or more. A minimum of one adult supervisor per every six children is required. We are able to offer a full choice of menus for your child’s party meal, which can be enjoyed in a specially designated area in our Pavilion Café. In fact we will cater for any celebration or special occasion including: wedding receptions, christenings, engagement party’s, anniversary’s, and many more.
Banham Zoo Facilities –
You can hire mobility scooters, pushchairs and strollers, we loan out wheelchairs, there are baby changing facilities, disabled toilets.
