During the last 17 years, the Great Danes Swaffham has been lovingly restored and now offer a cosy licensed bar, excellent restaurant and tastefully furnished bed and breakfast bedrooms for visitors. The stylish Great Danes rooms are all tastefully decorated. Great care has been given to providing quality furniture and we pride ourselves on our freshly laundered Egyptian cotton bed linen. Rooms 1-3 and 6 & 7 are in the main building; Rooms 4 & 5 are in “the Old Forge”. Although the majority of our rooms are either Doubles, Twins or Family Rooms, we can make adjustments to a number of rooms to suit your needs. Railway connections from Downham Market (just 15 minutes away) to Cambridge onto London, making the Great Danes a perfect spot for business travelers.
Great Danes Country Inn Swaffham B&B Room Prices
Room Prices start from as little as £70 per night for Single Occupancy, £90 for Double/Twin, £120 for Triple and £140 a night for rooms with Quad Occupancy (where available). All prices include a Full Help Yourself Buffet Breakfast served in our restuarant – With the option to upgrade to a Full English Cooked Breakfast on request. Pets are welcome for an additional £10 per night, per pet.

The Great Danes Country Inn Swaffham has a comfortable, well-stocked bar serving real cask ales. We also have a range of quality lager and a selection of bottled beers, fine wines and soft drinks. Guests at The Great Danes can enjoy their drinks beside an inglenook fireplace on cosy leather sofas or outside in our sunny garden which overlooks The Green.. The Lounge – Complementing our bar is our traditional Restaurant where Breakfast and Dinner are served. There are choices to suit everyone’s taste and budget using local, seasonal produce where possible. Special diets can be catered for but we would appreciate notice where special ingredients are required. We open at 6.30 pm Monday to Sunday.
