The George Hotel Pub B&B in Dereham is an attractive 18th century inn, situated in the heart of the bustling market town of Dereham.  The George Hotel is in an elegant Georgian building that houses a spacious bar, restaurant and conservatory.  On a sunny day the outside terrace is the perfect place to enjoy a drink or meal.  The George Hotel have nine B&B en suite bedrooms, one with a four-poster bed and roll top bath which would be perfect as a bridal suite. The George have experience in hosting many functions and are only 20 minutes from Norwich and are located in very close proximity to the A47. This makes us a great location for any event. We also have a large secure car park.

Gareth is head chef, with over of 17 year’s experience. His passion is fresh food sourced with the best local ingredients. Here in Norfolk, he is spoilt for choice as this market town is surrounded by farmland. The George is also fortunate to be located not too far from the Norfolk coastline for fresh local seafood. This great location allows Gareth to source only the best fresh food daily. Our team of chefs cook all of our food to order in our kitchen.  The George Hotel are proud to have a five-star food hygiene award and a Trip Advisor certificate of excellence.  The George Hotel meal vouchers/room vouchers are available.  For a different gift a George Hotel voucher can be purchased at the value of your choice. These can be purchased in person or over the phone using your bank card. We can then post to an address of your choice.

Some examples of previous events, functions, special occasions and celebrations we have hosted:

1.   Three Course wedding breakfast in either our restaurant or conservatory. This has been enjoyed by people who wanted an intimate post ceremony celebration with their guests.
2.   Hog roasts with homemade stuffing and apple sauce. This has proved a very popular post ceremony choice. Especially with private use of the building and a band or disco
3.   Buffets, Finger or fork buffets. Another popular choice. From 20 people in the conservatory to private use of the George with food for 150 with a band or disco.
4.   Afternoon tea with vintage crockery. This has been enjoyed by those wishing to have an informal celebration with their guests post ceremony.
5.   Outside catering. Perfect for if you love our food but have another venue in mind.
