Bylaugh Country Park is in Bylaugh a civil parish in Breckland Norfolk, England 4.5 miles north-east of East Dereham and 13.5 miles WNW of Norwich. For the purposes of local government it falls within the Upper Wensum Ward of Breckland District Council and the Elmham and Mattishall Division of Norfolk County Council.
Bylaugh Country Park caravan and camping site is located in the heart of mid-Norfolk and set in idyllic surroundings overlooking the Wensum valley. Our campsite and caravan site Park is a spacious and well-maintained caravan and camp site offering a peaceful and relaxing taste of Norfolk life. Bird watchers, cyclists and walkers can enjoy the many quiet local lanes, hedgerows and footpaths, and anglers can take advantage of nearby Swanton Morley Fishery, which offers five lakes set in 50 acres of beautiful countryside. We are only 5 miles from the popular market town of Dereham, Our Park also offers easy access to Norwich, Kings Lynn, the North Norfolk coast and the Norfolk Broads.

Bylaugh Country Park Caravan and Campsite is set in idyllic surroundings in the heart of mid Norfolk, with spectacular views over the Wensum Valley. The caravan and camp site offers a peaceful and relaxing taste of Norfolk life. Bylaugh Country Park is a spacious and well-maintained site and offers level, grassy pitches and lots of space for children and adults to play. There are mature trees around the perimeter of the site providing lovely shaded areas. Seasonal pitches are available at our Campsite. Please telephone for details. There are two modern and well-maintained amenity blocks at the Park Caravan and Campsite offering ample WCs, showers, basins, laundry and washing up facilities. At oury Park there is a small on-site shop which can be found in the reception building. Bylaugh Country Park has helpful, friendly staff, with extensive local knowledge and who are ready to help you explore Norfolk to the full. Just ask.
Local information
Bird watchers, cyclists and walkers can enjoy many local quiet lanes, hedgerows and footpaths leading from the site. Keen anglers can enjoy their sport locally at the Swanton Morley Fishery, offering 5 lakes totalling 50 acres of fishing. Day passes are available. For steam enthusiasts, the Mid Norfolk Railway which runs from Dereham, North Norfolk Railway and Bure Valley Railway offer a taste of yesteryear. For the golfers you can enjoy the numerous courses Norfolk has to offer, including Dereham and Swaffham Golf Courses. The North Norfolk coast, which offers sandy beaches, sailing and fishing is easily accessible from Bylaugh Country Park as are the Norfolk Broads. Norwich City which is known as the cultural capital of the East, has a vibrant market, boutique shops, shopping malls, theatres and restaurants. More locally in Dereham, there is a selection of shops, banks and a health centre. Of architectural interest are a number of historic houses, including the National Trust owned Blickling Hall near Aylsham, Holkham Hall and Houghton Hall near the coast. The Queen’s Norfolk home at Sandringham is open to the public and is situated 30 miles to the west.
