Dereham Theatre Company Norfolk
The Dereham Theatre Company (formerly Dereham Operatic Society) is a charitable Trust and was formed as long ago as 1948 and a great Dereham attraction to visit. The Theatre was to offer the local community education and enlightenment in amateur dramatic arts. This is a very grand way of saying that we were formed to entertain the people of Dereham and Norfolk!
The Dereham Theatre Company stages five productions a year which includes a musical in the autumn, a pantomime over the Christmas period and a play in the spring. The Dereham Theater’s highly regarded Youth Company, DOSYTCo (formed in 1991) stages a production at Easter time and a summer concert each year and holds regular workshops throughout the year for young people from 7 years to 19. There is something for everyone at the Dereham Theatre Company!
If you are looking or would like to join one of the premier musical and dramatic societies in Norfolk, as either a performer (we actively encourage all whatever your ability or experience, whether you are a singer, an actor, dancer, or just enjoy being on stage), backstage helper, front of house staff or just looking to purchase some tickets for our next show, you need look no further.
