Kirsty’s Cafe and Cakery is a lovely tearoon and cake maker based in Great Yarmouth at Anna Sewell House. Anna Sewell was an English novelist. She is well known as the author of the 1877 children’s novel Black Beauty, one of the top ten best selling novels for children ever written.

Kirsty’s Cafe Great yarmouth was born through Kirsty herself. Since the age of 6 Kirsty Fielder has been making and decorating celebration cakes. Kirsty was born in Great Yarmouth and while growing up Kirsty had a dream of opening up a tea room and celebration cake company. In 2014 Kirsty’s dream came true and was mainly fuelled by her grandfather who owned the Tolhouse Tea Rooms. Kirsty began her career as a baker at the age of 15 making and decorating celebration cakes for a bakery in Gorleston. After 2 years Kirsty juggled full time work at the bakery and going to college where she obtained multiple qualifications in various disciplines of catering.. Kirsty then went on to kick off a 9 year career as a chef in various four star hotels around Norfolk and becoming a very sort after chef . Kirsty was head hunted by a hotel in Holland to be their head chef and this was an opportunity she could not turn down.
Even the lure of the European hotel scene couldn’t quell the desire to go back to her patisserie routes. Kirsty came back to the UK and worked at Palmers in Great Yarmouth making all of the cakes for the coffee shop and celebration cakes. Instantly Kirsty realised she was in the right line of work again. After 3 years at Palmers, Kirsty’s dreams of opening a tea rooms took a turn for the better with her perfect property becoming available. Kirsty dreamed as a child of opening an ”Old English Tea Rooms” in an historic building. Anna Sewell House became available this was too good to be true surely.
Today Anna Sewell House is the home of Kirsty’s Cafe Cakery and Tearooms and all the best products go to make both all the magnificent cakes that are in high demand from wedding cakes, birthday cakes to all other types of special occasion cakes such as anniversary cakes, christening cakes, valentines cakes, celebration cakes, engagement cakes and anything you can think of. Also homemade scones, cakes and other wares to compliment the quaint tearooms situated at Anna Sewell House Great Yarmouth Norfolk
