Stand Up Paddle Hire Prices and Kayak Hire Price

Norfolk Outdoor Adventures are pleased to announce that our fleet of high quality Stand Up Paddle Boards and Kayaks are available to hire from our Hickling Broad facility. We only use the very best equipment in our fleet of SUP’s & Kayaks, and now they are available for you to hire in order to explore the stunning Hickling Broad and it’s surrounding areas at your own pace and in your own time. Hire is available by 1/2 or a full day (10am – 17:30pm daily) and comes complete with all equipment necessary for you to be able to get out and enjoy this stunning area!

For SUP previous paddling experience is highly advantageous especially at our Hickling site as it is open and can be quite windy – you may be required provide examples of this. This could be a learn to SUP course or lesson that you’ve attended (our fully accredited SUP introduction sessions are a perfect way to start). Pictures or video form your social media feeds, or if you’re able to demonstrate the basics at the point of hire then this will also be acceptable.

SUP and Kayak trips

Should you not be able to paddle a SUP but really wanted to get out there – then why not book a taster session with us in advance of your session? NOA is a fully accredited Water Skills Academy School and is also an Instructor Trainer Centre, therefore Norfolk Outdoor Adventures have years of experience in teaching SUP and would be more than happy to take an introductory session with you before you head out.

Norfolk Outdoor Adventures Kayaking can also be a wonderful way to explore the hidden creeks of the Broad, and you can now do this by hiring one of our super stable Horizon kayaks. We’ve chosen the Horizon craft due to their stability, the fact that they’re ‘two seaters’ which allows people to head out in pairs (this also keeps the ‘waterprint’ down when viewing wildlife), rudder steered and controlled by your feet, and that they are able to take quite a lot of luggage – allowing you to take as big a picnic as you can eat 🙂

We supply our kayak fleet to you with paddles, buoyancy aids and all other equipment, but we don’t fit out our craft with spraydecks when being hired – however this doesn’t not impact on the ability for the craft to operate and you’re still able to have a wonderful time out on the water!  Norfolk Outdoor Adventures Hire by The Hour – Between 9:30am – 16:30pm – SUP £15 per person – Kayak £15 per person or £25 per couple/pair – 2 Hours – Between 9:30am – 16:30pm – SUP £25 per person – Kayak £25 per person or £35 per couple/pair – half Day Hire – 9:30am – 1:30pm and 1:30pm – 17:30pm – SUP £35 per person – Kayak £35 per person or £50 per couple – Full Day Hire – 9:30am – 17:30pm – SUP £50per person – Kayak £50per person or £85 per couple.

Norfolk Outdoor Adventure Prices for Coffee & Nature Kayak Adventure is £45 per person – This is an amazing opportunity to get out on the water and to expereince the stunning beauty and nature of Hickling Broad from a wonderfully different and totally magical perspective! Our highly expereinced guides will meet you at our launch point with your kayak and all other equipment needed, ready for to be transported out on this amazing trip – and this is where the real adventure starts!

Using Norfolk Outdoor Adventures super stable and easy to paddle, rudder controlled WaveSport Horizon double kayaks, your guided adventure to Hickling Broad will continue out on the water where there will be every opportunity for you to see/hear Marsh Harrier, Bearded Tits, Reed Buntings and Warblers, Avocets and perhaps Bittern, Otter, Water Voles and more. Of course we can’t ‘pre-book nature’ – but in our expereince there’s always something wonderful to see 🙂

The Norfolk Outdoor Adventures trip will take you though some of the sourrounding rivers then out on to Hickling itself, its back waters and in to a few of it’s hidden gems which have a true ‘Swallows & Amazons’ vibe and definitely a feeling of getting away from it all! This is the point where you’ll stop, have an opportunity to get out and stretch your legs and enjoy a freshly brewed coffee (or tea) by the riverbank and why not some delicious pastries or biscuits whilst you’re at it.

Kayak Adventure

This trip is wonderful at any time of year in terms of peace, tranquility and the bonus of not too much in the way of other river traffic to to where we’ll take you! Your time on the water will last around 2.5 hours (with around 15 mins either end for paperwork and safety brief etc…) before heading back to the same launch point where you’ll alight from your craft and ponder on the wonder that you’ll have just expereinced. My name is Martin Rendle of Norfolk Outdoor Adventures and I’m passionate about the outdoors and all that can be found within it, and in particular the Norfolk Broads and our stunning coastlines.  Norfolk Outdoor Adventures [NOA] was started through a love and adoration of the beautiful county of Norfolk that I seem to have bounced my way into – and thankfully never looked back since – great bounce..!  Having lived in the Norfolk Broads area for some time now, I have always embraced and utilised the beautiful natural landscapes for both work and play – be it Kayaking or SUP Boarding on it’s 125 plus miles of unique inland waterways, or Trail Running around it’s 100’s of miles of coastline – and not forgetting the miles upon miles of endless opportunities for both for MTB and Road cycling that the county offers.
