The Muckleburgh Military Collection are the UKs largest private military museum and the wonder of the military world are here for you to explore. The Muckleburgh Military Collection is sited on the former Royal Artillery Anti-Aircraft training camp at Weybourne on the North Norfolk coast. Muckleburgh was opened to the public in 1988 and is one of the largest privately owned military Museum’s in the United Kingdom.  The Muckleburgh Collection was started in 1988 by Michael Savory and his father at a derelict military camp at Weybourne in Norfolk. Some military vehicles had previously been obtained following their experience in establishing a small display at Inveraray in Scotland.  Michael Savory was a stockbroker and later became Lord Mayor of London. He was Honorary Colonel of The London Regiment and a council member of a leading military charity for a number of years. His late father, Squadron Leader Berry Savory, served in the RAF during WW2. After the Battle of Britain, while on the staff of Combined Operations, he was involved in the planning and training for the invasion of Europe.
Most of Muckleburgh’s Military Collection of  extensive range of tanks and armoured cars are maintained in working condition. Exhibits include artillery, machine guns and missiles in addition to a fine collection of ships and land warfare models The Museum incorporates the Suffolk and Norfolk Yeomanry collection of uniforms, weapons, photographs and documents, as well as RAF Reconnaissance and Air Sea Rescue and Marine Craft exhibits
The Muckleburgh Military Collection
The Muckleburgh Military Collection is the finest private Museum of military memorabilia in the United Kingdom. The Collection includes tanks, guns and vehicles that have been gathered from all over the world. Those vehicles on display are maintained in working condition while those in store await restoration. There is also a vast display of militaria including missiles, weapons, ammunition, and historic exhibits.
Muckleburgh Collection Cafe

Muckleburgh Meeting Room.

Muckleburgh Collection Airfield
The Museum has its own airfield. You are welcome to fly in and walk the short distance to the Museum. A large helicopter pad is also available. A £5 donation for landing applies
Dogs – Dog Friendly policy at The Muckleburgh Collection NR25 7EG. The Museum has kennels where visitors can leave their dogs. A padlock is provided from the Shop for a £5 returnable deposit. Water and a dog bed are also available
Filming venue at Muckleburgh
Filming companies welcomed at The Muckleburgh Collection NR25 7EG. Muckleburgh is often used for films and documentaries. Muckleburgh’s location includes restored gun emplacements and pill boxes. The setting offers woodland, hills, and fine sea views. The tanks, guns and vehicles can be hired for use on the site. Email: [email protected]
