Alive Corn Exchange Theatre King’s Lynn – Alive Corn Exchange Cinema King’s Lynn
The Alive Corn Exchange Theatre Cinema is a Grade II listed facade of King’s Lynn and the Corn Exchange is a testimony to the splendour of Victorian architecture which now fronts a multipurpose venue in King’s Lynn and serves Norfolk. The building was originally built in 1854 and facing the town’s major public square, the Tuesday Market Place, behind its stunning stone facade, the hall was a simple brick rectangle with a glazed roof supported by delicate wrought-iron trusses. By the mid 1990’s the building was in a run down state, although still used for community events. A project to restore and enlarge it was begun, with the aim of creating a venue suitable for a wide range of cultural activities serving King’s Lynn and the wider community.
The Alive Corn Exchange is an attractive and comfortable auditorium and has flexible seating, which can be cleared to reveal a large, open space, a flexibility which allows us to host a varied range of other events including: comedy clubs, live music and live bands, antique fairs, exhibitions and wedding receptions and many more.
