The Blue Lion Pub and accommodation [b&b coming soon] North Pickenham is in a village in the Breckland district of mid-Norfolk, East Anglia, England. It lies three miles, as the crow flies, from the Georgian market town of Swaffham. At the 2001 census it had a population of 500 and an area of 1,015 hectares reducing to 472 at the 2011. We are is a grade II listed building and is located in the peaceful village of North Pickenham and the Pub has been serving beer to locals and visitors alike since 1609. The Blue Lion is at the heart of the North Pickenham community and prides itself of being a maintain stay of history in the quaint little village. George Freeman, MP for mid Norfolk, officially reopened the Blue Lion pub in North Pickenham in February 2018. The previous owners of the pub had closed it down in 2013 and the 400-year-old building had remained empty since then. New owners of the Pub Wendy and Richard Pyne had visited Norfolk to start a bed and breakfast. After heading to North Pickenham and speaking to residents of the village, they decided they had to own a pub and reopened the Blue Lion.

The Blue Lion Pub History
Our Pub has tasty food from bar meal snacks to dinner meals and our pizzas are legendary. The Blue Lion has a large selection of real and casked ales to suit all tastes and of course gins, lagers, beers, stouts etc. The Blue Lion Pub holds regular quiz and curry nights, hosts live local bands, live music and has karaoke and live music which all are welcome to attend. Bed and Breakfast B & B accommodation will be available.
