From 1936 until the 1960’s Agatha Christie stayed here many times as the guest of her friends whose private home it then was, often sitting in the summer house to write her famous novels. Traditional Afternoon Tea at the Beechwood Hotel is ideal for everyone. The perfect venue for an Afternoon Tea is the elegant surroundings of the Beechwood Hotel. Why not explore our beautifully tended gardens before enjoying our traditional Afternoon Tea in our comfortable Restaurant. Afternoon teas are served daily from 2 till 5pm and must be pre booked. They comprise: Have a selection of dainty finger sandwiches with a variety of fillings – Homemade scones served with clotted cream and Season’s Bounty Norfolk preserves – Two savoury canapes, a mini chocolate shot dessert, a fruit posset, one other homemade mini sweet, a mini Victoria sponge, an eclair and a macaroon.
A great choice of teas, tisanes and coffees with refills included – £18.50 per person, Available 2pm – 5pm Monday – Sunday – When making your reservation, please be aware that we ask for a deposit of £10 per person in order to confirm your booking.

The Beechwood Hotel Restaurant is one of the leading Restaurants in North Norfolk. The Beechwood Hotel is open to residents and non-residents and, with its intimate bar and inviting Dining Room, creates a relaxing atmosphere conducive to the enjoyment of good food and fine wines. The Dining Room, which seats up to 60 people, offers a British Fine Dining menu that has been awarded two AA Rosettes. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner all have an emphasis on fresh local produce expertly prepared by our brigade of chefs. To complement our menu there is a well balanced wine list that features a selection from a wide range of locations including Hugh’s native land South Africa.
Our restaurant is open every evening for Dinner from 6.45 until 9pm. On Sundays we serve a traditional Sunday Lunch menu from 12 till 2pm. On Friday and Saturday nights we are delighted to offer a delicious 7 course Taster menu with Wine Flight alongside our A la Carte Menu. The price is £85 per person and is only available for the entire table. In summer, pre-dinner drinks are served in the garden and after dinner our bar is the ideal place to relax and enjoy coffee or a digestif.
