Anglia Karting Centre The Airfield North Pickenham Swaffham
Anglia Karting Swaffham is a great day out. Long before go-karts, Anglia Karting Swaffham site was originally part of the RAF North Pickenham Station which was constructed for the United States Army Air Force in 1943. The site opened in 1944 and the 18th April that year saw the Eighth Force 492d Bombardment Section (Heavy) take up station to run bombing campaigns as part of the Second World War. The RAF closed and sold the site in 1965. Since then it has been an activity camp for the scouts before being developed into a karting track.
The Anglia Karting Swaffham site was originally designed as a figure of eight, subsequent investment in a second, more complex track allows us to offer a variety of layouts right up to the full 1030 meter track. We are based in the heart of Norfolk and on the outskirts of Swaffham on the old RAF Pickenham airfield . Anglia Karting Centre has two outdoor race tracks and combined can make a 1030 meter, adrenaline fuelled, day of exciting racing. All racers are to be aged 8 and above (minimum height of 4ft 4″). When the day starts to get darker we can always switch on the floodlights so the fun doesn’t need to end when the sun goes down.

Anglia Karting Swaffham Track Drive Experience – Track Race Experience.
At Anglia Karting Swaffham our Arrive & Drive Biz Karts have 200cc Honda engines for the adult karts and 160cc Honda engines for children which can be further limited for those youngsters just starting out. Our Arrive & Drive karts are capable of top speeds in excess of 30mph! All safety equipment is supplied by Anglia Karting – overalls – helmets and hairnet – gloves – so what are you waiting for? Anglia Karting Kids Klub
is your child’s opportunity to get behind the wheel of a go-kart and learn about throttle control, braking, racing lines and overtaking. In each session you will be driving our karts putting what you’ve just been taught by one of our Circuit Managers into practice. Anglia Karting have run many Kids Klubs in previous years which have proven very popular with children and have been the start of a racing career for the lucky few.

Owner Drivers
At Anglia Karting Swaffham we welcome Owner Drivers. We have dedicated track time for: Super & Mini Moto’s. Sunday’s are special! Anglia Karting have some Sunday morning owner driver practice sessions available. Bring your own kart along and get some extra seat time and perfect those driving skills. £30.00 per kart – £5.00 each extra driver.

Clay Shooting Requirements – Groups of no less than 8 people are required and you must be over 16 years old. This experience is only available on Saturday’s and must be booked in at least 2 weeks in advance. Your booking is secured with a £50.00 non refundable deposit. Clay Shooting Prices – 10 clays – £13.00 per person – 20 clays – £21.00 per person – 30 clays – £28.00 per person.
