The Old Rectory B&B Thetford is located in Thetford which is a market town and civil parish in the Breckland district of Norfolk, England. Thetford is on the A11 road between Norwich and London, just south of Thetford Forest. After World War II Thetford became an ‘over spill town’ taking people from London, as a result of which its population increased substantially.

The Old Rectory B and B Thetford is a Grade 2 listed Georgian house built in the early to middle of the 18th century. The house retains many of the original classic Georgian features including large sash windows, high ceilings and several fireplaces. The Old Rectory B & B house itself has a long history from its early years as the Raymond Street Brewery, then as St. Mary’s Vicarage and now as The Old Rectory B&B. We are happy to show you some of this fabulous history in the form of document copies dating as far back as 1863.
