Godwick Hall Weddings and Great Barn is near Godwick which is a deserted village in the county of Breckland Norfolk. The lost village of Godwick’s location was south of Fakenham between the villages of Tittleshall and Whissonsett, where Godwick Hall now is located. There are over 200 deserted villages in Norfolk, but most sites have been destroyed by ploughing, the pressures of two world wars or other agricultural uses.

At Godwick Hall we specialise in weddings, whether that be big, rustic barn weddings or small, intimate celebrations in Godwick Hall, either way we have the perfect location to create the wedding of your dreams.  Aside from weddings Godwick is the perfect place to get-together, to celebrate and share joy, laughter and experiences with friends and family.

Godwick Hall is set in 100 acres of parkland.   Godwick Hall is a stunning luxury large house worth splashing out on.  Godwick Hall have seven beautiful bedrooms, offering luxurious accommodation for groups wanting to celebrate or holiday in the unspoiled Breckland Norfolk countryside.

Godwick Hall is one of the finest locations in Norfolk to stay with its beautiful rooms and stunning landscape situated on the lost village of Godwick. A perfect place for that special celebration or event.  Godwick is the perfect place to stay in Norfolk and can be hired on a self-catering or semi-catered basis depending on your group’s requirements. Godwick has fantastic local caterers who can be recommended for special celebratory meals.  Godwick is only eleven miles from Wells next the Sea and Holkham, so is a short drive to the beautiful beaches of north Norfolk and is a good base for exploring the coast but also within reach of the fine city of Norwich. King’s Lynn with its good train links to Cambridge and London is just seventeen miles away.

Each of Godwick’s bedrooms are individually designed by contemporary local design house Moochi Modo and has its own bespoke features and wonderful views. Guests have use of the wonderful Georgian dining room that can seat up to 20, a conservatory, games room, kitchen and drawing room and access to the gardens and heated swimming pool in the summer.  Take the three nearby Godwick shepherd’s huts too and you can sleep up to 22 across the Hall and huts with the use of two z-beds in the Hall for children.

Godwick Hall Weddings, Godwick Barn and Godwick Elopement Package are set in a truly unique 450 year old Grade II listed barn wedding and event venue in Norfolk, combining history and magnificence with a wonderful rural setting.  Godwick Hall is licensed for wedding [civil] ceremonies, so you can hold your whole day at Godwick and create wonderful memories that will last forever.. The Godwick Great Barn retains its rustic authenticity with tasteful new additions giving contemporary facilities, posh loos, modern kitchen and reception area with a bespoke bar.  Godwick has a large entertaining space that can seat up to 150. The barn has huge oak beams and high pitched roof which is amazing to look at, but also result in great acoustics for music and entertainment.  Godwick is a blank canvas venue that can be tailored to suit your own requirements with plenty of outside space for stunning photographs, entertaining, garden games and outside ceremonies.

Godwick Hall Weddings and Barn indoor ceremonies can take place in either the informal drawing room or the stunning dining room that can be dressed to create the right feel for your wedding. Drawing on Godwick Hall’s years of experience of hosting weddings we will work with couples to create the day that you are after, whether that be informal and intimate, cosy and warm or eccentric and eclectic. It’s up to you.  Make your celebrations complete by staying at the luxurious Godwick Hall and our nearby shepherd’s huts for two nights allowing you to celebrate your wedding in our licensed premises well into the night with a small group of close friends and family.

If you have something to celebrate, we have the venue.  At Godwick we can offer you exclusive use of either Godwick Great Barn or Godwick Hall for your celebration or event. Godwick Great Barn is fantastic for larger events, with the ability to accommodate up to 150 for a sit down meal or up to 200 for a more relaxed evening with bar and buffet-style catering.  Godwick Hall is ideal for a smaller, more intimate event for up to 30 guests where you can party the night away in great surroundings.  At Godwick we have lots of experience of events.
